In conjunction with the Koshare 85th anniversary celebration, June 15, 16, & 17, 2018, the Koshare Foundation golf tournament was another success. The tournament held annually brings former Koshares, friends, family and community together to support the Koshare Museum and Youth Program.
Saturday morning June 16th, 50 golfers met at the La Junta Municipal golf course for a scramble tournament. With breakfast burritos available, gift bags distributed and tournament rules discussed, the happy group teed off for a morning of fun.
Tournament winning team was: Matt McIntyre, Scott Monarco Scottie Monarco and Brianne Huff. 2nd place team was: Todd Quick, John McMillan, Mike Hardy and Alfred Andrew.
In addition to the proceeds from the tournament, several raffles, a live art auction and a silent art auction bolstered the success of the weekend fund raising efforts.
